Happy Thanksgiving

So, now that the craziness of "Black Friday" is over (I work at Best Buy, so believe me when I say crazy!!) I can sit back and remember how nice Thanksgiving was! This year we were with Cody's side and it was so nice. Linda makes an amazing turkey! It was nice to be with everyone! Mike did a toast (and yes, he teared up a bit...but it was sweet!) and we all dug in. It's amazing that with all that prep time the meal is consumed in a matter of minutes! As always it was delicious! Heather and Jody and their kids were there and Simon had the time of his life playing with his cousins. He loves them so much! He wouldn't stop kissing baby Brielle (so I guess he'll make a good big brother someday!), and he pretty much followed Trayson and Kutter around all day! Trayson was amazing and sat on the couch and read stories to Simon (which is Simons favorite thing in the world!). I took some pics cause it was so sweet! I am so greatfull for such an amazing family!

A Few New Milestones

So, here are a few of the new milestones Simon has hit recently. First, as I've said before, he has been in this mean stage where he likes to hit and push. So, I've posted his "time out" pictures. He even tattle tales on himself, so at least he's honest about it! It does break my heart to put him in time out, but he is pretty good to stay there until you tell him to come out. Second, he has learned to put on his clothes by himself. It's not too often that they are on the right way...but I think he does a pretty good job. And Third, he has learned to manuver the playground by himself (mom, don't freak out!). He does like to test my nerves and gets really close to the edge when he is up high, but then he laughs and moves back to a safe distance. So, here are some pics of all those milestones.

Family Matters!

Ok, so I don't have a new picture for my blog this time, but I still wanted to post something. So, the Holidays have begun and I'm trying not to be a "bah-humbug". I work retail so for me it's a dreaded time of year. But, the plus side this year is Simon is 18 months old and is going to be soooooo fun! I'm trying really hard not to buy every little thing I see for him! I think Cody is worse than me though, he is excited to finally get toys to play with! Speaking of Holidays, Simon must not understand the "Naughty or Nice" thing yet. He is still in this hitting, pushing stage and it's driving us crazy! He does understand what "time out" is and finds himself standing in the corner frequently. Poor Sienna! He does have his sweet moments though. Just this morning we were playing in his room and he accidentally smacked me in the face with a block. Instantly he bent down towards my face with this concerned look (maybe he thought he was in trouble) and said "You OK Mommy?", than he gave me the tightest hug ever and kissed my cheek! I was in heaven! I wish he was that concerned when he beats the crap out of Sienna! :) I love Simon so much and I'm so glad he is a part of our family! We truely are blessed!

Best of Friends, Worst of Enemies!

Here are some fun pictures from the other day when I got to tend Sienna for a couple hours. Simon and Sienna are cousins and are only 2 1/2 weeks apart in age. Some days they just love each other and are the best of friends, but as with any close relationship sometimes they just drive each other crazy...Ok, so it's more Simon driving Sienna crazy. He is into this pushing, hitting, mean stage- but it's mostly just to her. I don't know if its some macho "I'm a boy" thing, or if he just is trying to get her attention. Hopefully he grows out of it soon. But I did capture some fun "playing nice" moments.

Stinky Kid

This year Simon was a skunk for Halloween. He went trick or treating with his cousins Adyson and Sienna and had so much fun! The best part was watching him from behind because when he ran his tail would wag back and forth. So cute!!

"My Gloves"

Simon is obsessed right now with wearing his gloves! If he sees them on the floor he instantly freaks out and has to put them on. He is actually pretty good at getting them on himself and he can get all his little fingers in the holes (well, most the time).
